Before Registrating a candidate at Makerere University, a graduate applicant has to be accepted for Registration. Once a candidate has been accepted for registration, he/she must complete the Registration Form which accompanies the letter of admission. Registration is then done Centrally and at Faculty or Instute or Department level.
A Student must register with the Office of the Academic Registrar (Central Registration). The Central Registration of Students is decentralized to Faculties or Schools or Institutes. The Staff from the Office fo the Academic Registrar is deployed to oversee the registration exercise at those Units. Registration is done in the first six weeks of the Semester.
Continuing Students must indicate the courses they wish to offer / take in Semester Two while still in Semester One. However, continuing students confirm the courses they offer / take in the first week of that semester.
